Als innovatives Fintech Unternehmen entwickeln und optimieren wir täglich die Finanztechnologie, welche die Grundlage für unsere modernen Benefit Tools darstellt. Wir verbinden Finanznetzwerke und führen dabei aktuell mehrere Millionen Transaktionen pro Monat durch. Qualität und Sicherheit stehen bei uns an erster Stelle. Bei givve® legen wir großen Wert auf Ordnung: Reviews, Updates und Refactorings haben einen hohen Stellenwert. Als Senior Ruby developer bist Du bei givve® für die Weiterentwicklung unseres core systems verantwortlich, welches unser gesamtes Finanznetzwerk steuert. Darüber hinaus bis Du für die Weiterentwicklung unserer Public API sowie unserer automatisierten Administrationssysteme zuständig.

Dein neuer Job:

  • Unsere APIs implementieren wir in ruby (grape) und spezifizieren sie mit rspec und JSON Schemas
  • Wir verwenden Mongodb, Postgres und Redis
  • Unsere Microservice-Struktur läuft auf AWS beanstalk und GCP Compute engine
  • Die Angular APPs werden auf Firebase gehostet
  • Als CI verwenden wir circleci.com und travis-ci.org 
  • Zur Qualitätskontrolle verwenden wir rubocop, codeclimate und einen PR review Process 
  • Unser Version Control System ist git (github.com)
  • Unser Monitoring Tools sind newrelic, sentry.io, papertrailapp.com, pagerduty.com und google analytics
  • Bei den Tools ist von VIM bis RubyMine alles möglich

Damit begeisterst Du uns:

  • Du beherrschst git im Schlaf,
  • hast ein fundiertes ruby, rspec und mongodb Wissen,
  • fühlst dich auf linux systemen sicher,
  • sprichst Deutsch und Englisch,
  • kennst die Opensource Welt.
  • Du bringst Expertise im Backend mit Ruby mit
  • Du hast schon mal json APIs und deren Clients unabhängig voneinander implementiert
  • Du interessierst dich für Sicherheit in Netzwerken
  • Du hast Code bei github veröffentlicht, den andere nutzen
  • Du kannst uns Code, Posts oder anderes Material von Dir zeigen

Senior Ruby developer with interest in financial technology (m/f/d)

We are looking for a new team member starting as soon as possible. Full-time at the Munich Headquarter or remote work from your preferred location.

Your position

Being an innovative fintech company we develop and optimize every day the financial technology, which is the basis for our modern benefit tools. We connect financial networks and thereby conduct several million transactions every month. Quality and Security are of top priority for us. At givve® we attach great importance to order: Reviews, updates and Refactorings are elements of high significance in our daily work. As Senior Ruby developer at givve® you are responsible for further developing our core system, that operates our whole financial network. Additionally, you are responsible for the development of our public API as well as our automated administration systems.

Your new role:

  • We implement our APIs in ruby (grape) and specify them with rspec and JSON schemas
  • We use Mongodb, Postgres and Redis
  • Our microservice structure is based on AWS beanstalk and GCP Compute engine
  • The Angular APPs are hosted on Firebase
  • For our CI we use circleci.com and travis-ci.org 
  • For quality control we work with rubocop, codeclimate and a PR review Process
  • Our version control system is git (github.com) 
  • Our monitoring tools are newrelic, sentry.io, papertrailapp.com, pagerduty.com and google analytics
  • Concerning the tools everything from VIM to RubyMine is possible 

How you can score with us:

  • You master git,
  • You have a sound knowledge of ruby, rspec und mongodb 
  • You feel confident using linux systems
  • You speak German and English,
  • You know the open source world
  • You can contribute expertise in the backend with Ruby
  • You've already implemented json APIs and their clients independent of one another
  • You are interested in security in networks
  • You have published code on github that other people are using
  • You can show us code, posts or other material of yours
